RE: Gas stoves/grills etc.

I have a camp chef and the low pressure hose that I use with my quick disconnect under the frame. Works GREAT.

RE: Rotate air in tires?

Still too busy shoveling all this Global Warming (white) stuff from my driveway that won't stop or go away so that we can also rotate our TT's tires!
If anyone else finds my voice, please let me know so I can complain out loud again because we are having more global warming tomorrow.
Have a great trip DFH-GMC,
Mike.
I take it you missed the day in grade school when they covered the differences between weather and climate!
My coach has climate control so I dont have to worry about weather.
Thanks - I think I needed that after this thread!

RE: Will the RV community unite for our freedom?

Just wondering how many are rather peeved at the rising cost of fuel?
IMHO it is not the EXXON's but rather it is the fact that the obstructionists like the Sierra Club that is, and has been, responsible for the rise in fuel costs.
I fail to see why protecting the same environment that allows for our very existence is considered an obstruction.

RE: Air Bags

I have had the Air Lift bags in my truck for a year without issue and zero leakage.
When you install them, make SURE that you have a clean cut on the air line before you insert it into the connector. I would recommend getting a tool like the craftsman handi-cut to do that work.

RE: Why do cities pass anti RV Laws?

Redding has an unusually high per capita rate of ex-convicts thanks to the crowbar motel in Susanville. I would imagine they banned overnight parking for the same reasons the walmart did in Vancouver, Washington. Police are routinely called to the Vancouver location due to violence, druggies, illicit activities. I don't know why it is so at the Redding location, but it is probably a very good bet to assume the same.
Unfortunately, the rotten few have have ruined it for those who did not and have not abused it. There are better ways to solve the problem, but it is easier to just ban it all together.

RE: The worst-ever Christmas gift? Do tell

My dearest grandmother gave me and my brother each painted ceramic rooster that we were to hand on the wall in our rooms. She said we could look up at those and remember not to be so cocky.

RE: Actual federal weight law rules, some questions and answers

Good questions. My understanding is that AAM rates my rear axle at 10,800#s. GM then rates the axle down to 6084#s which is the tire rating total for the two stock tires on the rear axle.
So what you are suggesting is that where the code refers to the manufacturers rating that could mean AAM's rating as they manufactured the axle?
What I am suggesting is that the door jamb sticker doesn't reflect what the axle, or truck for that matter, is actually capable of. The info sticker on your door jamb does not reflect total capacity, just the capacity as configured when the truck left the factory. In the Dodge Ram for instance, the difference between a 2500 and a 3500 (SRW) is an overload leaf spring which gives it an extra 800lb RAWR and subsequently a higher GVW.
Anyway, that's my $0.02.

RE: Actual federal weight law rules, some questions and answers

Two things...
First... editted... Wasn't inteded to start a flame war.
Second... I have a dodge truck and the RAWR on the door jamb sticker is far less than what the actual manufacturer specifies to to be - In this situation, who is the manufacturer, Dodge or AAM, and whose specification is right or most correct?

RE: hissing noise after engine shutdown

It could be the compressed air from the turbo escaping back through the air intake. I know my 5.9l cummins does it and I have heard it on other brands as well. I could be wrong.
